South Shore Dancers
South Shore Dancers limits ticket sales to our monthly Saturday dance events to 100 tickets. This is in accordance with the contractual agreement we have with the Town of Norwell and was initially arrived upon as the maximum number of dancers that the floor will comfortably accommodate.
To that end, South Shore Dancers established the following policy shortly after the club Charter was written in 1989:
Anytime during the hours of any Saturday dance event, anyone in attendance may make advance reservations for future, regularly scheduled Saturday dance events. Payment may either be made at the time the reservation is made, mailed any time prior to the next scheduled Saturday dance event or made at the check-in table when checking in for the event.
During the two-week period following any Saturday dance event, anyone may request reservations by phone, mail or email. However, reservations during this two-week period will be filled for members of South Shore Dancers only, with non-members put on a waiting list in the order of reservation request.*
At the conclusion of the two-week period, reservations will be filled from the waiting list in the order received, up to 100 total reservations, and all those on the waiting list will be contacted with the status of their reservation requests. If there are not enough reservations to satisfy all of the requests at the end of the two-week period, or if any time up to the event there are more requests than reservations available, the waiting list will be retained. Reservations will be offered to requestors in order as cancellations occur.
Once a reservation has been confirmed, payment may either be mailed any time prior to the next scheduled Saturday dance event or made at the check-in table when checking in for the event.
If, after all reservation requests on the wait-list have been filled, we have not reached our 100 reservation limit, the remaining tickets will be sold on a "first-come, first-served" basis from requests made via phone, mail or email.
If all tickets have not been sold prior to the event*, any remaining tickets will be sold at the door on a "first-come, first-served" basis.
Notes of special interest:
* Does not apply to the New Year's Celebration or the Pot Luck Supper. These two events do not have a two-week Member Preference Period. All tickets are sold on a"first-come, first-served" basis.
